Draggin'

Today started off a bit slo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ow.  Dave was feeling just a little bit rough after the gig last night.  Man, was I draggin'!  The show went really well - extremely hot (we were all wringing out our t-shirts, or changed them, if you had the forethought to bring extras) but so much fun!   The Free Dirt boys always seem to have a good time, wherever we are - even if we're only playing to a handful of people!  It was also really cool to see that short film, and to see how our music was used in it.

So this morning, in a post-beer-and-bourbon haze, Jenny and I started cleaning up the back room so we could finally set up our new computer!  We carried one of the wooden desks downstairs from the loft and set it up down here, after cleaning the walls and dusting off all of the crap that's accumulated for the last few years.  After we set the computer up, we decided that we liked the old computer desk better, so we switched back to the old desk and carried the other one back upstairs.  Nothing like doing double work, eh?  Anyway, this is the first blog being done on the new computer - so fancy and shiny - and fast!  I feel so special! :-)

After setting it up and downloading all the anti-virus and anti-malware software I needed (and played around a bit, of course), we loaded up and went out to her mom's place for a great dinner of this awesome sausage that we get every year out at St. Paul's Lutheran church way out Highway 109.  They get it from some meat market in New Melle, MO, not too far from the church.  Man, is it good, though - especially on a sandwich with some fresh horseradish and some sauerkraut!

So, it's been a long day, and I'm tired now - think I may watch some teevee and hit the hay!  Today's stroke is black (yes, Annie, I can hear you groaning and rolling your eyes all the way over here!) and white, for our shiny new Gateway computer.  How in the world did a Holstein cow become synonymous with a computer company, anyway?
