Well, people, it really is gonna be a quick one tonight! We got up early this morning (5am!) to go down to Barnes-Jewish Hospital to be with Jenny's dad, Jim, as he had another minor surgery to take out the remainder of the cancer that was in and around his tonsils. Everything seems to have gone well - he's in good spirits, talking, walking around, making jokes, etc. He and his friend, Joanne, are staying with us the next night or two, just in the rare chance that something goes wrong and they need to go back to the hospital (which is unlikely). We figured it'd be a lot closer to get to Kingshighway from here, as opposed to coming from the Lake of the Ozarks!
Anyway, my stroke tonight is dedicated to Jim. They scraped the last of the cancer out of his tonsils, so it's kinda like getting a brand new start - a clean slate, if you will - so I put down a nice little white stroke. White, to me, is just like starting over. Good luck, Jim! You're doing great!
